Offering $39.25-$42.81 p/h (incl. casual loading) + penalties!

We’re hiring Roller Operators and/or Skid Steer Operators to join our clients legendary asphalt crew based in Welshpool. If you’ve got the ticket — or the attitude and want to learn, this is your chance to roll (or scoop) into a long-term career!

This role is Monday – Sunday on day and night shifts with overtime available! Shifts can start as early as 3am and run for 10–12 hours. Pay rates range from $39.25 to $42.81 per hour depending on experience (inclusive of 25% casual loading) plus penalties applicable on night shifts, weekends and overtime!

Key Duties (Depending on Your Role):

👷‍♀️ Roller Operators:

  • Operate a range of rollers: steel drum, pneumatic, rubber-tyred
  • Pre-start checks, daily maintenance and machine care
  • Compacting asphalt to spec – smooth, tight, and on point
  • Assist ground crew with raking and clean-up
  • Communicate with pavers, foremen, and team to get the job done right
  • Maintain top-tier surface quality and finish

👷 Skid Steer Operators (4-in-1 Bucket):

  • Operate skid steer for material movement, clearing, and surface prep
  • Training provided if you’re green but keen!
  • Assist ground crew when not operating
  • Help keep the site clean, safe and running smoothly
  • Pre-starts, maintenance, and machine relocations

Requirements:

  • White Card – Essential
  • Driver’s Licence – Essential
  • Roller or Skid Steer Ticket – Required
  • MR Licence – Highly Desirable
  • Previous experience in civil, asphalt or plant ops – Valued but not a dealbreaker
